At Home Sleep Apnea Treatment in Reseda CA

Before obstructive sleep apnea treatment begins, a take home test will need to be administered as a way to effectively diagnose the disease. The test is very common and is referred to as the Home Sleep Apnea Test (HSAT), or you may be required to receive a Polysomnography (PSG). Depending on your initial consultation, Dr. Bamshad may refer you to a diagnostic entity in order to administer the take home sleep test and/or Polysomnography.

Details About the Home Sleep Apnea Test (HSAT) & Polysomnopgraphy

The take home test is performed in the comfort of your own home. The test connects various wires to your head, body, arms, and legs, and then measures various elements of your sleep functions including breathing, leg movements, heart rate, eye movement, and oxygen content in your blood

The Polysomnography test, also known as a sleep study, tells your physician about the quality of your sleep and if sleep apnea is present, this is the more accurate way to diagnose.
